The Buckaroo show.......

Hey guys...

As you can see, there is something new on my site. My friend and I are going to be giving weekly tips, which will include knots, safety, looking after equipment and lots of other things. We are calling it the Buckaroo show, as it is set most of the time on the boat "Buckaroo"(The 1 I go out to see on often). I really hope you guys will enjoy it and that you will come back often to see the next tip.

First I would like to apologise for not updating this week, but my computer is broken and my mom is always on hers!

Well I went to Sundays River this weekend again and we had a very strong spring tide, it covered most jetties and washed lots of junk through the river. Brad and I desperately wanted to go fishing as most of the bait banks were covered, which meant that our main species would be feeding on those banks, but the wind was blowing way too hard and made the river look like an ocean! But thats life unfortunantly!!!

Well I g2g, so enjoy your weekend and tight lines and screeming reels!

Was a cool weekend!

Hey all.....

So I went fishing this weekend with my friend Bradley again, but this time we went deep sea with his dad Raymond on his beautiful boat. We left nice and early on Sunday morning and we leaving the harbour as the sun was about to rise. We first stopped at a spot called the bell boy hoping for some bait, but all we caught was a menacing small fish.

We then left for our main spot off the Cape Recife point and we caught a number of fish such as Bastaman(bradley is holding one in my last post), cape salmon, miss lucy, red roman, elf and two sada sada(similar to a bonito). It was a succesful day and was fun except for getting sea sick though! Was horrible getting sea sick again but enjoyed the day anyway!!!!

Thanks again to Raymond for taking me out to sea!

Well I am back at school, my holidays are over, but still going to be fishing on the weekends.
Well all that I have talked about is fishing, so I though I should tell you more about me!!!
I play cricket and golf, I am better at golf than cricket but enjoy both! I played provincial golf but have not played in a while, even got Bradley to start golf!!!!! lol!!
I enjoy mostly outdoor activities but also enjoy going out with friends or watching a good movie......

Well I will update soon, enjoy your week!!!!

Over view of my week!

Well Im eventually back from all my holiday places, and it's been great!

On July 7th I left for sundays river to stay with my friend who has a house on the river with a jetty, he is just as mad about fishing as I am! We went fishing everyday and caught a number of fish! We used his boat, as I was unable to take mine. We left some mornings when it was still dark, but other mornings the bed was to warm and comfortable! lol!!! We mostly fished in the river with light tackle, but also went for a day on the surf where I caught a shad and my friend caught a sand shark! It was a long day which consisted of walking far into the waves and getting cold, us fisherman are just mad!!!!

Here is a pic of my friend Bradley Heine with a nice bastaman caught at sea.

This is a picture of a steembras I caught on mud prawn which was about 56cm and I would say about almost 2kg. It gave up a great fight and we released from the sand bank.

After that great time at sundays river, I was off the next day to a place called Rhodes which is about 8 hours out of my town and way into the mountains! I went there with a group of school mates to help out with a marathon that takes place there! It is a very cold part of my country and experiences snow. We hiked through valleys until we had to climb a huge mountain and the only inspiration I had to climb it, was to see the snow on top, this was the first time I had ever seen snow! it was AWESOME!!!!

That night I was in for a surprise! The lowest temperature that I had ever been in was about -2 dehrease celcius, that morning it got to -13 degrease, and even my water next to me froze! It was unbelievable, and we slept in tents outside!

Here is some pictures of Rhodes and some of my friends!

Wel thats all I have for now! Will update again soon!

Just want to say thanks to my friend Bradley for letting me stay with him at sundays river and to Peter for taking us to Rhodes!

Sundays river this weekend!

Hey

Will be going to Sundays river this weekend and hope to catch a couple of nice fish!

Suyndays river is a saltwater river that is half an hour out of my town, its an awesome river to fish in, with plenty of deep spots and lots of bait.
Here is a pic of what sundays river looks like!

At this river you can get a number of baits, which include mud prawn, pink prawn, pencil bait and live bait. Here is a fish caught on pink prawn last winter, it's a kob and they can grow up to 70kg, but this one is generally a good catch and was 5.6kg.

Well wish me good luck for the weekend! Will post on tue and show all my catches.(thats if I catch any, lol)
